Ok guys. I haven't been posting in a while but thought I'd let y'all know...

The new Sly movie - The Expendables. Just about all the awesome action stars (and then some) from the last 20yrs are in this movie..??!! The potential for this movie to punch anyone who watches it in the FACE is immense..! I hope it doesn't disappoint...

Lets run this down...

Sly Stallone - He's Rambo, Rocky, Cobra Cobretti, John Spartan, .. and the list goes on.

Jet Li - He kicked your ass Once Upon a Time in China. 'Nuff said

Jason Statham - I guess he's not a bad addition. He did alright as Turkish.. and he did bang Amy Smart in front of a school bus to stay alive so.. ok. Acceptable.

DOLPH LUNDGREN - I.WILL.BREAK.J00.

Eric Roberts - DUDE! He's the Best of the Best!

Randy Couture - WHHHAAAAATT!! WHHAAAATT!!! Rear naked choke to your FACE!

Stone Cold Steve Austin - WHHHAAATTT!!!! WHHHHHAAAAAATT!11!11.. well.. ok. He drank a lot of beers, but I probably wouldn't mess w/ him.

Mickey Rourke - Before he bashed faces as Marv in Sin City, he was Harry Angel. NICE.

Bruce Willis - YIPPIE KAY YAY MOFO!

And the muthaf'in GOVERNATOR!!!!11!!! WWHHHAATTT WHHHAHAAATTTT!1!1!!11

I don't know guys.. This has the potential to be the awesomest f'ing action flick in the history of the known world if its gonna be anything like the latest Rambo flick.

AND THERE ARE PIRATES IN THIS MOVIE!! UUGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!1!! *squirt*

A few years ago, you may have seen me running around imitating one of Anne Rice's characters:

This year (actually, last weekend) I got something that served a purpose:

Nike MaxSight

I've worn them so far on an overcast day, a bright as hell sunny day, in-doors w/ dim lighting (hehe), and at night while driving. I have light sensitivity issues w/ my eyes, especially driving at nite w/ people's headlights bothering me most of the time. With these on, it made everyone's lights look like their amber running lights. I'm sure these contacts aren't made for this purpose, but it worked for me with no noticeable sacrifice in regular nighttime visibility.

I'll mainly be wearing them during the day tho. Driving, riding, or at the beach.
No more getting weird tan lines on the face or sweat and sunscreen on my Maui Jims.

It's like one.million degreeeees...
It's like one.billion degreeeeeeeessss..
It's like one.trillion degreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssss..!
From the hot parking lot, to the sand that is not so coooooooooool...

Please get this song out of my head.

Take the time to read this. Srsly.

Hope this entry finds everyone is good health and spirits at the beginning of this year, 2006. Just thought I'd stand up on my Lever 2000 soap box for a second...

Back in October last, under severe peer (and by peer I mean pseudo-midlife) pressure (and by pressure I mean crisis), I got myself an 'M' endorsement on my license and picked me up one of these bad boys.

Its been all well and good (so far), and being a new rider, I made it a point to edumacate myself and practice before trying out for Super Stuntaz R' Us. It was during this edumacation that I realized how very unaware everyday drivers are to us motorcyclists (YEEEAAHHHH BABY! IM A BIKER! HowYaLoike'MeNoW!?!?)...
Yea, bikes are inherently more dangerous than riding a car, but do most people realize how badly CAR DRIVERS (affectionately known as 'cagers') exacerbate (different from masturbate, but you might do that badly too) this problem? Not checking blind spots, TALKING ON YOUR CELL PHONE, not paying attention, etc etc all contribute to making yourself a danger to others. You might get into a fender bender with another car...

But there's no such things as fender benders w/ bikes.

...

Think about this for a sec. Is it that important to try beating a light, cutting someone off, having a conversation on the phone or skipping a quick shoulder check to get to a place all of one minute faster..!?! On most days, you can do these things with no consequence. But what about that ONE time? That ONE time where your space and another collides? Is it worth the consequence of wrecking your car? Harming yourself? KILLING another?

Think about that the next time you're driving.

We think that idiots who drive drunk are the sole evils of automobiles, but all these other little things can be equally deadly. Is it really worth that high price? Can you pay it?

Think about that the next time you're driving.

And if you need something more visceral to help you see, check this out.
